Dental Implants

Dental Implants are a long-term tooth replacement option designed to replace missing teeth and restore both the appearance and function of your smile. An implant system can provide a stable foundation for a dental crown, bridge, or full-arch restoration depending on your individual needs.

At Prime Dental, implant treatment is planned based on your oral health, jawbone condition, number of missing teeth, and overall treatment goals.

What Are Dental Implants?

A dental implant uses a small titanium fixture that is placed into the jawbone to act as an artificial tooth root. Once the implant has healed and integrated with the bone, an abutment and dental crown or other restoration can be placed on top.

For patients who have significant bone loss or require full-arch tooth replacement, additional procedures or implant solutions such as bone grafting, sinus lift, All-on-4, or All-on-6 may be considered.

Dental Implant Services

Prime Dental provides different implant-related treatments based on each patient’s needs:

Implant Fixture: The implant fixture is placed into the jawbone and serves as the foundation for the replacement tooth.

Abutment: The abutment connects the implant fixture to the dental crown or other final restoration.

Healing Abutment: A healing abutment is used during the healing stage to help shape and support the gum tissue around the implant site.

Dental Crown on Implant: A custom-made crown is attached to the implant to replace a missing tooth and restore its appearance and function.

All-on-4: All-on-4 is a full-arch implant solution that uses four strategically placed implants to support a fixed set of replacement teeth.

All-on-6: All-on-6 uses six dental implants to provide support for a fixed full-arch restoration, depending on the patient’s individual needs.

Bone Grafting: Bone grafting may be recommended when there is not enough healthy jawbone to provide adequate support for an implant.

Sinus Lift: A sinus lift may be recommended for implants in the upper jaw when additional bone height is needed to support implant placement.

Temporary Denture: A temporary denture can be used to replace missing teeth during the implant treatment process while the final restoration is being prepared.

Who May Benefit From Dental Implants?

Dental Implants may be considered for patients who have:

• One or more missing teeth
• Difficulty chewing due to missing teeth
• Teeth that need to be replaced
• Significant tooth loss requiring full-arch restoration
• Sufficient bone support or a need for bone augmentation

An implant consultation and dental examination are necessary to determine the most suitable treatment approach.
